The Washington Square Park Hawk babies are getting big enough to stand in the nest and practice wing-flapping/stretching. I spent an hour and a half watching Bobby and Sadie take extended nest breaks now that the babies are more developed. Bobby was on the park arch when I arrived:
Today’s visit was especially delightful because both Hawk parents sat together and followed each other around the park all while delivering food to the kids and watching over them from nearby perches.
I spent just over three hours at Washington Square Park today with Bobby, Rosie, and their youngins. Two of the babes looking up, perhaps at Bobby who was seated at One Fifth Avenue across the park from them?
